Speaking about the genre of Survival Horror, we usually mean a series Silent Hill, Resident Evil and other similar games whose events develop in our or very close to our time. However, now, thanks to Dead Space, rust, zombies (more precisely, not quite zombies or not at all, but see. below) and darkness will settle in space.

Of course, you have already heard that tickets outside the Earth will soon be sold in kilograms to anyone who wants to be for mere pennies. DS takes place 500 years after our death with you, you will not surprise anyone with this. People are slowly settled in the universe, and the solar system is that our MKAD is in constant movement. But the problem faced them: the resources from the earth sucked out a little one, what to do? The way out was invented quickly – they created specialized ships designed to complete destruction of planets unsuitable for life with the elimination of all useful. They called them simply – Planetcracker.

And one of them (Ishimura), tearing a piece of its surface from the next planet, found something inexplicable. And soon disappeared from the radar. To find out what happened there, a ship of the intelligence group is sent, on which works as an engineer Isaac Clarke, the main character. Going down with everyone on Ishimura, he soon remains alone. This is where the game begins.

One of the most interesting features of DS will be an advanced system of destruction of opponents. Firstly, this will have to be done quite often, despite the belonging of the game to Survival Horror’am. Gameplay will be faster than in the same SH And Re. Secondly, you will have to fight only with the crew members of the lost ship. True, now they are no longer people at all – malicious aliens turned out to be parasites and simply grew up inside their human owners, at the same time subjecting them to all kinds of mutations. Now they are only monsters. Thirdly, hedshots are not afraid of them. In any case, not everyone. Often, the decapitated carcass will remain combat -ready until the last. Cut off her legs and she crawls to you, and if you start with your hands, it will run up and hurt painfully. A magnificent system of damage will be built into the game, which will be allowed to enjoy in full: some comrades will have to sparkle into small pieces for complete reassurance.

This weapon spits in clots of energy, falling into which the monsters will begin to move very slowly. It is not easy and the costume in which Isaac walks around. Although he is very similar to armor from the infamous Hellgate: London, but in capabilities much more powerful. Thanks to him, the developers were able to abandon the interface – health is displayed on the back, the number of cartridges is on the wrist, and all kinds of additional information on holographic shields that occur everywhere in space, if there is something to say about a particular subject. The costume is also equipped with magnetic boots that allow Isaac with the same comfort to roam the floor, walls and ceiling. Developers are generally very pleased with how the laws of gravitational are observed in DS. Absolutely everything can soak in space, including our engineer with monsters. Without special problems, you can jump and stand on the ceiling. And the mutant chasing you, thinking a little, will do the same.

Despite the fact that a lot of the promised is more suitable for some stupid arcade jewel, Dead Space is, first of all, a horror movie. Everything in it is created only for the sake of the atmosphere, in order to believe – before us is not just dolls, but real terrible monsters.

For example, such a seemingly trifle is like a sound in outer space (yes, there will be such an opportunity, but thanks to the miracle bots, it loses its infantry fraction of attractiveness). He is not there, he will not be in the game. The only thing we will hear is the knock of our own heart and breathing. But just return to the sealed rooms, and a whole shaft of all kinds of noise will pour into the ears.
